MailWall is capable of integrating with an existing Microsoft Active Directory installation thereby allowing users to be synchronised between Active Directory and MailWall.

Directory Services are typically used in conjunction with a closed SMTP feed to enable MailWall to automatically be aware of all email addresses for which to accept email for a domain.

It is important to understand that MailWall will always maintain an independent set of users, using the MailWall username convention, during any directory import or synchronisation. Active Directory usernames are mapped to MailWall usernames but MailWall retains an independent set of users.
