What are MailWall Hosted Mailbox (POP3 and IMAP4) Functions?
PRODUCT NOTE: Hosted mailboxes may have undesirable and unpredictable effects on a domain with Active Directory synchronisation enabled. It is not recommended or supported to use these features together.
Understanding Hosted Mailboxes
- MailWall can be configured to manage email addresses for a domain name and provide storage for customer mailboxes. Mailboxes are made available via compatible POP3 and IMAP4 email clients such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird and Microsoft Entourage.
- Hosted mailboxes can remove the requirement for an email server to be located on the customer's premises as their email clients will directly connect MailWall over the Internet.
- In addition, hosted mailboxes are compatible with many mobile email devices and platforms.
