Understanding SMTP delivery
MailWall contains many features to integrate email delivery with a local email solution such as Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange or Kerio Mail Server.
MailWall supports both Blind SMTP feeds, whereby all email is forwarded to a local server regardless of the recipient addresses and Closed SMTP feeds whereby MailWall only accepts emails for pre-configured email addresses.
Typically, Closed SMTP feeds are used in conjunction with synchronising the local Microsoft Active Directory configured email addresses with MailWall.
Depending on the type of account a domain is on, there may be an additional fees for using a Blind SMTP feed.
