IE Internet Support have referred me to something called the ISP. What is that?

ISP stands for Internet Service Provider, and refers to any company that provides Internet Services. While IE Internet is classed as an ISP as we provide Email/Anti-spam services and web hosting, we do not provide internet connectivity. If we tell you to contact your ISP, we are usually reffering to the company who provides you with your Internet connection. If your telephone line is with, for example, Eircom. It is a safe bet that your broadband is with them also. Please note that this is not always the case.
