How do I create an email footer or signature in Outlook Express?

The footer in an email created by Outlook is called a signature.

To create you own signature in Outlook:

  1. Open Outlook and select Tools / Options
  2. Click the Signatures tab
  3. Tick the first box Add signatures to all outgoing messages and also remove tick from second box to add it to replies
  4. Click the New... button
  5. Now type what you wish to display in the signature in the box labelled Text. This could be your companies IT security Policy, a disclaimer, or just a word of wisdom
  6. Click the OK button
