What is the Difference between POP and IMAP?

POP

  • Downloads all your email from 'Inbox' folder to your email client and depending on your email client settings it leaves a copy of the messages on server side or removes them completely from server side.

IMAP

it synchornizes your local mail folders with mail folders on server side. Whenever you delete an email in any of those places it will be deleted in both places.
